Please read these terms carefully before booking.

1. Booking and Payment

To confirm your booking, a deposit of 50% of the total cost is required. Your booking is confirmed when I receive your deposit and completed booking form.

Full payment is due 4 weeks before your trip start date. If you book within 4 weeks of the trip date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Payment is accepted by bank transfer. Bank details will be provided when you book.

2. Your Cancellation

To cancel, you must notify me in writing at contact@munromicroadventures.uk.

Refund policy:

• More than 4 weeks before the trip: Full refund minus your 50% deposit
• 4 weeks or less before the trip: No refund

I strongly recommend you take out insurance against cancellation costs (see Section 5).

3. Changes or Cancellation by Me

I reserve the right to change routes, timings, or locations for safety reasons including weather conditions, ground conditions, or other factors affecting participant safety. My decisions on these matters are final.

If I must cancel your trip (for example, due to insufficient numbers or circumstances beyond my control), I will offer you an alternative date or a full refund. Any personal costs you have incurred (such as travel, accommodation, or equipment) cannot be refunded.

4. Changes by You

If you wish to change to an alternative date after booking, please notify me at least 28 days before your trip. An administration fee of £25 may be charged, subject to availability. Changes cannot be made within 28 days of the trip start date.

5. Insurance

You are strongly advised to take out personal insurance covering:

• Cancellation and curtailment
• Medical expenses and emergency rescue
• Personal accident
• Equipment loss or damage

Mountain rescue in the UK is provided free by volunteers, but you remain responsible for any other costs including medical treatment, repatriation, or overseas rescue.

Personal equipment and belongings remain your responsibility throughout the trip.

6. Your Responsibilities

Before your trip, you must complete my booking form which includes:

• Emergency contact details
• Relevant health and medical information (see my Privacy Policy for how I use this)
• Confirmation that you are medically and physically fit for the planned activity

You must inform me immediately if your health or fitness changes between booking and the trip date.

During the trip, you must:

• Follow my instructions at all times
• Bring appropriate clothing and equipment as specified in my kit list
• Behave appropriately and not endanger yourself or others

I reserve the right to refuse participation or terminate your involvement without refund if:

• You are inadequately equipped for the conditions
• Your fitness level is insufficient for the planned activity
• Your behaviour endangers yourself or others
• You fail to follow the leader's instructions
• You have not disclosed relevant medical conditions

7. My Qualifications and Insurance

All activities are led by Iain Watson, holder of the Mountain Leader qualification awarded by Mountain Training.

I hold:

• Public Liability Insurance: £5,000,000
• Professional Indemnity Insurance

8. Participation Statement

Rock climbing, hill walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence.

9. Complaints

If you have any concerns during your trip, please raise them with me immediately.

If you remain dissatisfied after your trip, please submit a written complaint to contact@munromicroadventures.uk within 28 days. I will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and provide a full response within 28 days.
